Mercer Job Library

Exciting changes are coming your way!

Global salary surveys hero image

Mercer Job Library , a comprehensive job catalog that will make participating in compensation surveys easier. Mercer Job Library provides you with improved job descriptions for more accurate position matches, clearer relationships between jobs, more specializations, and if you participate in surveys for multiple countries, you'll find consistent job codes across all markets.

Why the change?

The workforce is evolving, and we're responding by raising the bar on how companies view market pay data in order to more accurately and completely assess competition for key talent and hard-to-recruit skills. This next-generation approach to survey job design and benchmarking provides you with new insights into the labor market by looking beyond traditional jobs. You get better results with roll-ups that bring together data from related specializations to create consistency when there is variation in job design. You'll also get a broader look at the market with aggregated data in "combined jobs" that can be used as a proxy for hybrid roles. All of this means that you will be able to match and benchmark more jobs in your organization!

What does this mean to you?

If you participated in the 2020 survey you will receive instructions to access your data collection kit via email in the next few days, which will include the questionnaire and job matching tool. Your questionnaire will be pre-populated with your previous data mapped to the new jobs found in Mercer Job Library.

Once you access your questionnaire, you'll want to take a fresh look at the library to confirm the accuracy of your matches and take advantage of new opportunities to match jobs and specializations that have been added.

If you did not participate in the 2020 survey, you can access survey information and data collection kits from the Participation Station .
