Data for the SIRS Levels Analysis is drawn from the US Mercer SIRS Benchmark Survey. Reported by job category (Management, Technical, Administrative, and Support) and level, the analysis compares your company’s base salary and population distribution to the external market of your choice, either All SIRS and industry analysis, or a specific peer group.

Also part of this report is the Total Labor Cost Differential analysis which is a measure of the competitiveness of your organizations overall labor costs against your peer group by SIRS category. By SIRS category, it displays the difference from your company’s data to the market on average and highlights the total cost to bring each of your incumbents to the market average.

Salary Survey Methodology

Mercer surveys are designed using the most accurate and up-to-date market data practices. Data is collected from HR professionals at participating organizations and then analyzed for validity, thoroughness, and market representation based on the organization's size, structure, geographic region, or a combination of these factors. A minimum number of incumbents, organizations, and distinct organizations are required in order to report each data element. If minimums are not met, the market data is suppressed, ensuring you the highest level of data confidentiality.
