30% of the current workforce is made up of millennials – and that number will continue to grow! Millennials offer companies diverse ideas, skill sets, and values that have been shaped by a rapidly changing world. In return, millennials want flexibility and perks that fit their lifestyle along with a competitive salary from their employers. Understanding what drives this increasing important segment as you plan for the workforce of the future is critical to success.

The North America Millennial Pay-for-Perks Survey presents how companies are offering, or are considering offering, specific benefits and perks that have been identified as effective attraction and retention incentives for Millenials and Post-Millenials (individuals between 18-34 years old).

Are you curious to see how many of your competitors provide free breakfast or lunch for their employees? What about a company car, group retreats, or business kegerator? These are some of the many benefits and perks gathered in this survey that organizations in the US and Canada are implementing to attract this younger workforce.

This survey will help you benchmark your benefits solutions so that you can support your total rewards strategy, while considering the business goals of employee attraction, retention, and productivity. This survey is open to organizations with operations in the US and Canada with results for each country reported separately.

Salary Survey Methodology

Mercer’s salary surveys are designed using the most accurate and up-to-date HR metrics and market data practices. Data is collected from HR professionals at participating organizations. It is then analyzed for validity, thoroughness, and market representation based on the organization´s size, structure, geographic region, or any combination of these factors. A minimum number of incumbents, organizations, and distinct organizations are required in order to report each Mercer data element. If minimums are not met, the market data is suppressed, ensuring that you always receive the highest level of data confidentiality.
