Report Highlights

  • More than two-thirds of all participants described their organization’s analytics culture as one using analytics in most or all departments including HR to influence some decisions, and a fifth of the respondents indicated that analytics actually play a key role in business decisions.
  • However, currently only 4% of participants produce detailed global mobility analytics.
  • Evaluating assignments’ overall ROI, achieving better alignment between global mobility and the organization’s overall business objectives, as well as better understanding of assignment patterns, specific problems and cost drivers were the top 3 areas in which participants thought mobility analytics could make a difference in their organization.
  • Close to two-thirds of participants cited in-house technology limitations (e.g., manual spreadsheets/Excel collation, analysis and reporting of data) as a barrier they are facing when trying to develop detailed mobility analytics.
  • The highest concern or risk participants reported was that metrics and analytics results and reporting are not followed up by action/changes.
