That’s where the new 2017 North America Mercer Turnover Survey comes in. This survey collects voluntary, involuntary, and retirement separations data. Turnover amounts are available by employee group, job function, and location/region. Industry, organizational size, and even generational data are also collected. This survey is open to organizations with operations in the US and Canada with results for each country reported separately.

The 2017 North America Mercer Turnover Survey is a new survey that collects the number of voluntary, involuntary, and retirement separations for 2016. Turnover amounts will be available by employee group, job function, industry, and geography. This survey is open to organizations with operations in Canada and the US. Results will be reported separately for Canada and the US.

Survey Methodology
Mercer surveys are designed using the most accurate and up-to-date market data practices. Data is collected from HR professionals at participating organizations (never employee self-reported) and then analyzed for validity, thoroughness, and market representation based on the organization’s size, structure, geographic region, or a combination of these factors. A minimum number of incumbents, organizations, and distinct organizations are required in order to report each data element. If minimums are not met, the market data is suppressed, ensuring you the highest level of data confidentiality.
