2017 Social Security and Medicare figures!
On Tuesday, October 18, the Social Security Administration released the new figures for 2017. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), an agency under the Department of Health and Human Services, released the 2017 Medicare premiums and deductibles on Thursday, November 10. Significant updates include:
- 0.3% cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for 2017.
- $127,200 maximum earnings on which you pay Social Security taxes.
- $16,920 earnings limit for beneficiaries under the full retirement age, plus much more!
- $1,316 Part A inpatient deductible.
- $183 Part B annual deductible.
