Mercer launched the Patent and Trade Marks Attorneys Remuneration Survey in 2006 with support from the Institute of Patent and Trade Marks Attorneys of Australia.

The report, released in March, provides information on remuneration for four levels of Patent Attorneys and three levels of Trade Marks Attorneys. Human Resources and Practices information was also collected and reported for the first time in 2008.

Participating firms have online web access to Mercer PayMonitor® which allows customisation of survey results.

Regular meetings with the participants are held both at the start and end of the survey cycle to discuss job matching, job coverage, reporting items and trends affecting the industry.
