"Responsible for representing the organization's position on legislation and regulatory affairs to elected government representatives. Serves as the organization's liaison with government committees and other regulatory agencies. Provides the organization with informed direction, guidance and leadership in its relationship with governmental entities. May be responsible for advocacy projects that promote new products and/or technologies. Researches, analyzes and interprets significant developments or trends in government policy which may affect the organization and its profitability. Typically reports to the Governmental Affairs Executive (Federal Level) (Position 110.208.132), or to other senior management."
