"Under direct supervision, assists with the design, arrangement, and building of experimental subassemblies and prototype models requiring a high degree of accuracy. Analyzes engineering specifications, sketches, and drawings and applies information to construct special tools or fittings to build models. Receives and inspects parts from vendors and production and determines if parts meet requirements of engineering schematics, standards, and specifications. Typically requires advanced technical school training and less than two years experience."
