16011 - Top e-Merchandising Executive
Top position responsible for merchandise inventory on the site. May decide prices, markdowns, and when to remove items from the site. May negotiate bulk sales of closeouts with other retailers. This job differs from the e-Commerce Manager by being focused on product content without responsibility for the technical IT part of the website. Merchant selects only from in-store or catalog inventory for the website items. This is typically a single incumbent position and may report to the Top Merchandise Planning and Allocation Executive.
