Mercer’s Total
Remuneration Survey (TRS) 2006 contained participation from
nearly 600 major chemical companies across 15 countries in Asia
Pacific.
The chemical industry is faced with a number of complex issues
including centralisation and globalisation. Another key
challenge for chemical companies is achieving regional
consistency in applying remuneration and benefits across
borders.

Recognizing the chemical industry’s special needs in the
region, Mercer has introduced the Asia Pacific Chemical
Industry Forum (APCI).
1n 2006, APCI had 14 member companies and a charter to expand
the group.

APCI Membership Requirements
- Subscription to Mercer’s Total Remuneration Survey
- Subscription to Total Remuneration Survey (TRS)
at a minimum of 5 locations in Asia Pacific.
- Data submission

data for all locations in Asia Pacific,
independent of purchase decision and regardless
of size of operation at each location.

APCI member pricing
As an APCI member, you have 2 subscription options:
a. APCI membership standalone
Your subscription to Total Remuneration Survey (Premium) will entitle you to a 20% discount applicable at each Asia Pacific location. On top of the 20% discount you also receive:
- An additional 5% discount of the total fee with subscriptions between 6 to 10 TRS locations.
- An additional 10% discount of the total fee with subscriptions from 11 or more locations.
b. APCI and Asia Monitor membership package
Your subscription to both Asia Monitor and Total Remuneration Survey (TRS) will entitle you to:
- Full membership of Asia Monitor at USD5,500 (usual price USD7,500). This is over 25% savings.
- Total Remuneration Survey (Premium) at 20% discount applicable at each Asia Pacific location.
On top of the 20% discount you also receive:

An additional 15% discount of the total fee with
subscriptions between 6 to 10 TRS locations.

An additional 20% discount of the total fee with
subscriptions from 11 or more locations.
Executive Remuneration Survey
Subscription of any of the options above entitles you to a 20%
discount on each Executive Remuneration Survey you subscribe to
in the Asia Pacific region.
