Benchmarking and network services for companies with the largest, best-run international assignment programs

The Select Benchmarking Group (the "SBG") is an ongoing service provided on an invitation-only basis to leading multinationals with the largest and best-run international assignment programs. The purpose of the group is to enable members to determine how their most critical assignment program policies and practices compare to those of other members, whether via data-driven benchmarking or intra-group networking. Founded in 2004, the group has grown to include over 60 members, representing all industries and the regions of North America and Western Europe.

The resources available to members include customized, management-ready reports that identify where members are above or below market, online dashboards with filtering capabilities and other features, a message board which offers live polling capabilities and networking opportunities, and the ongoing support of a team of consultants devoted exclusively to global mobility program benchmarking. Group members are also given access to an interactive website developed specifically for the SBG which houses a comprehensive database of historical benchmarking reports and other global mobility-related content. Finally, while the majority of the interaction among members is virtual to accommodate their busy schedules, conferences are held each year in both the United States and Europe to offer members the opportunity to connect in person.

Participation in the group requires a minimal commitment of both time and money, offering a substantial return on investment. SBG surveys are designed to be easy to complete and Mercer also provides data-entry assistance to members upon request.
