Benefits Valuation Survey
Participation in the Mercer benefits database through the Benefits Valuation Survey opens the door to an array of information designed to help you pinpoint potential changes in benefit plans. Data can be submitted anytime during the year and at your convenience. Within 2-3 weeks your information is in the data set and you can begin in-depth benchmarking analysis.
Three participation options:
- Complete the Mercer Benefits Database Enrollment Form and email your Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs)
- Complete a full questionnaire in PDF format
- Update your current benefits through imercer.com
First time participants and returning participants who renew data each year will receive two valuable reports FREE:
The information collected from the Benefits Valuation Survey is the foundation for our benefits database and tracks extensive data on the major types of employee benefit plans, including retirement/savings, health and welfare, time loss, and work/life benefits. Including more than 1,300 US organizations, the database covers organizations across industries and sizes.
First time participants – submit benefits
Adding your organization to the database is easy and has no cost. If you are a first time participant, complete the Mercer Benefits Database Enrollment Form and email your Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs). If you prefer not to send your SPDs, you can complete a full questionnaire.
Existing participants – update benefits
- Go to imercer.com.
- Click on LOGIN/REGISTER and enter your user ID (may be your email address) and your password.
- If you are a new user or have forgotten your password, go here, provide your email address, and your imercer.com password will be emailed to you. If you are a new user, go to imercer.com, click on the green box LOGIN/REGISTER, and follow the prompts.
- Select My Account.
- Go to the "My Downloads" section located below "My Tools."
- Select and download your 2012 renewal spreadsheet (save this document to your computer to email back to us; there is no upload feature on this site).
- When prompted, accept the License Agreement.
- Current benefits will be reflected in the left column; simply fill in your changes in the right-hand column and email martha.connors@mercer.com.
Pop-up blockers will need to be disabled to access your survey.
Benefit Plans
- Retirement/Savings: Defined benefit, defined contribution, and stock purchase plans.
- Health/Group: Medical, dental, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, and post-retirement medical plans.
- Time Loss: Vacation, holiday, personal leave, PTO banks, sick leave, and short- and long-term disability plans.
- Nontraditional Benefits: Educational assistance and long-term care.
