The Mercer benefits database – the foundation for our benefits information and tools – tracks extensive data on the major types of employee benefit plans, including retirement/savings, health and welfare, time loss, and work/life benefits. Including more than 1,500 US organizations, the database covers organizations across industries and sizes.

Participation is easy

Adding your organization to the database is easy and has no cost. If you’re a first time participant, you can send your Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs), along with your responses to a brief questionnaire – we do the rest. The questionnaire is available in xls format. If you would prefer not to send your SPDs, you can complete a full questionnaire. The full questionnaire is available in pdf format, or you can participate online.

If you’re already in the database, you may update your information each year using our new online tool. Your personal ID and password give you quick, easy, and confidential access to your data. Please call Customer Service at 800 333 3070 or send an e-mail to surveys@mercer.com if you have any questions about participation.

  • Market Comparison Report – a one-page summary comparing your benefits to the market.
  • Spotlight on Benefits – a snapshot of the trends and prevalence of key plan features for all organizations in the database.
